  • *Only valid for new cardholders. Any existing balances on HFS FCU loan or credit card accounts are ineligible.

    **Cardholder must make $3,000 worth of purchases (excludes cash advances and balance transfers) within the first 90 days of approval to qualify for the bonus of 30,000 CURewards® points. Bonus Points will be reflected on the cardholder(s) next statement after successfully meeting the criteria above. The credit card account must be open and active at the time the bonus points are deposited to the cardholder(s) CURewards® account.  To view your rewards account and redeem points, log into HFS Online Banking from a desktop or log in to the HFS Cards App on a mobile device.  Points will expire three years from the end of the calendar year in which they are earned and will expire on a first-in, first-out basis annually.

    APR= Annual Percentage Rate. Rates are as low as 14.25% APR as of January 1, 2026. The stated rate is a variable rate and is based upon the Prime rate (index) as published in the Wall Street Journal plus a margin of 7.5%, 9.5%, 11.5%, or 13.5% based on your creditworthiness. The APR may be adjusted quarterly on the first day of January, April, July, and October with a maximum rate of 18%. The index value is determined as of 10 days before the date of any annual percentage rate adjustment. The current index value is 6.75% as of 1/01/2026.

    All Credit Cards are subject to credit approval.

    Membership with the Credit Union is required and open to all who live, work, worship, attend school, volunteer, or participate in associations headquartered on the Island of Hawai’i. A minimum opening balance of $50.00 is required to open a Savings Account.

    Insurance products are not products of the Credit Union and are not obligations of or guaranteed by the Credit Union. Credit Disability Insurance is offered through CUNA Mutual Group.

  • For 24-hour Customer Service, to change a PIN, or to report a lost or stolen Visa Signature® Credit Card, please contact:

  • The minimum and maximum amount a member may apply for is $5,000 and $50,000 respectively.

  • Credit Cards can be printed and issued in-branch so you may receive your card on the same day.

  • Yes. Please note that during the loan review process, we will need to verify your contact information for discrepancies. To make this process as efficient as possible, please update your information on Online Banking, visit any branch, or call 930-1400 before submitting your application.

  • Every Contactless card payment transaction includes a one-time use, dynamic data for the transaction. This same data cannot be used for other transactions. In addition, each Contactless device must have its own unique secret key and this key is never transmitted.

    • Verify that there is a Contactless symbol on the transaction terminal.
    • Tap or hold your Visa card within 3 inches or so to a transaction terminal.

  • Your new card also includes an embedded microchip and magnetic stripe, so that if you find your favorite stores have not updated their transaction terminals, you can use your new card in the same way that you had used a standard card.
